How do you get songs onto and ipod touch using limewire?

I just got the touch for my birthday and I updated to a new itunes version. But this one makes it hard or impossible to transfer songs from limewire to itunes and then onto my ipod touch. Please help me with this, I don’t really feel like buying songs for 1$ each or walking around with an awesome ipod touch without music. HELP PLEASE!
